However, this time it’s not just a comedy. This is a musical comedy! In other words, it’s everyone’s favorite VAUDEVILLE, which was very popular in Russia in the 19th century.

The “Midnight Robbery” plot is as follows: An embezzling manager of a certain supermarket stays at work late at night. He doesn’t know how to make ends meet and is terrified of the coming inspection by the store owner. What to do? How to fill up the deficiency? But then a real burglar gets into the store unexpectedly. The manager, delighted by the appearance of a real thief, decides to “pin” the deficiency on him. The manager’s mistress appeared but it’s obviously not part of his plan, so he has to hide the thief. Then a jealous wife comes in, which makes the situation even worse. How can the hapless tomcat manager get out of this situation? How can he make sure that everyone is happy and not to get himself into trouble?

That’s the plot, and you can find out what came out of it by watching the play of the Maly Comedy Theater. The performance is full of magnificent dances, music, songs and humor.
