“Too Married Taxi Driver 2” (New adventures)

“Too Married Taxi Driver 2” (New adventures)

Super-comedy in two acts with one intermission.

Based on the play “Caught in the Net” by Ray Cooney. Sequel to Run for Your Wife

The play was written by Laurence Olivier Award winner Ray Cooney, the famous English comedy writer, on the heels of the enormous success of his legendary comedy “Too Married Taxi Driver,” which still draws full houses around the world.

London cab driver John Smith has been splitting time between two homes for more than 16 years and does everything to keep his wives Mary and Barbara unaware of each other’s existence (nobody knows how he manages it). But one day the unexpected happens: Smith’s children from different marriages meet on the world-wide web – the Internet, and decide to meet. Never before has a dad been so close to failure! Funny comic situations escalate exponentially. John Smith swings between the two homes, trying to prevent his daughter and son from meeting, or else his dual life will come out!

And, just like years ago, his best friend and lodger Stanley Pawnee comes to the rescue of the hapless cab driver-bigamist. The appearance of Stanley’s father (Semen Furman), an eccentric old man, further confuses the situation… Will John Smith be able to remain unmasked?

This hilarious, very funny and kind play, filled with stuttering humor, funny comic situations, and the inspired performance of the actors gets all true comedy connoisseurs really delighted!
